The Center for Global Education challenges the Gettysburg College community to make the world their classroom. We emphasize credit-bearing, culturally-immersive, semester-length global study opportunities for students in all majors where they are able to participate in internships, engage in directed research, and deeply engage in the local community. We support academic departments in their efforts to infuse a global focus in the curriculum and by providing faculty and staff globally-focused professional development opportunities. With a faculty who engage in teaching and research around the globe, alumni who enter careers and vocations that address the complex problems of our world, a campus community where nearly 60% of Gettysburg students study globally for at least one-semester, and students who study languages and cultures in every degree, Gettysburg’s education and community is global in every sense.
